The World

The Spires

Luna’s story begins here, at the top of an impossibly-high peak. She wakes upon a pile of rubble and ruins.

“Wait a minute … I don’t remember looking like this.”

Cinder Fern Valley

A desolate, rocky plane, almost entirely void of life. A haven only for spiteful thorns.

Ironhold Mountain

A lifeless old mine, stripped of its bounty long ago. Flakes of soot fall lightly to the ground – almost like snow – as volcanic fumes rise into a darkening sky.

Fire Creek Cavern

It’s not just the lack of light that makes this place so dark. Something broods here. But the only way out is through.

The Great Sand Sea

Despite the barren landscape, these open dunes are a welcome sight after Fire Creek Cavern. Surely there’s something living around here, isn’t there?

The Desert of Dancing Palms

Now we’re getting somewhere. These lovely date palms point the way along the Dune Veil River.

“Follow the trees…”

Amberhill Temple

An ancient monument, carved right into the sandstone, with two massive statues calmly welcoming travelers inside. But this place has been vacant for millennia.

Runebridge

The coastal hills once known as Ocher Cliff Bay were a stronghold of bridges, and aqueducts, and buzzing cities like Runebridge. Sadly, little remains. Uninhabited for millennia.

The Cenacle

At the center of an ancient city, the crumbling ruins of this gathering place will lead Luna inside the mysterious Chamber of the Hidden Gale.

Ashwood Springs

A lush, overgrown forest full of ponds and streams reveals the long-forgotten, sacred gardens of Shadowbrook and Ascension Grove.

Ascension Grove

Once the sight of fertile gardens and holy sites, Ascension Grove is built around an enormous, mystical tree named Ananyah. So tall, this tree, that the top is frequently veiled in rain clouds. A seemingly endless flow of water collects on the leaves, trickling down the boughs to form hundreds of tiny waterfalls in the sky.

Ananyah’s Pools

A variety of statues seem to stand guard in this section of the gardens, ushering visitors toward four sacred pools.

Mariner’s Song

Off the rocky shores of the fjordlands, a series of four lighthouses protects Deep Haven Bay. One of them, called Mariner’s Song, is located outside the bay, among the rocky shoals and reefs along the coast.

Maiden’s Call

Lining the shore of Deep Haven Bay, three more lighthouses mark the safety of the ancient harbor. These lighthouses form a gateway, promising safe harbor within.

Mother’s Prayer

On the cliffs that overlook Deep Haven Bay, another of three lighthouses seems to watch over the vacant harbor, opposite Mariner’s Watch.

Crone’s Whisper

Completing the collection of lighthouses that protect Deep Haven Bay, the crone sits opposite Maiden’s Call; each of them sits on either side of a mechanized sea wall.

Tempest Watch

A bit farther inland, a mighty dam holds back an immense reservoir. Water still flows through a damaged spillway, topped by a somber, abandoned watchtower.

Snowfoot Pass

A narrow footpath invites travelers up the hill country, winding its way through the snow-covered canyons below Dark Sky Mountain.

The Timbercloud Trail

The icy peaks of Dark Sky Mountain are shrouded in clouds and meandering patches of fog. But while it is not always entirely visible, this path up the mountain is – likewise – never completely hidden.

Wild Wood Citadel

Once a religious safe-haven, it was later converted into a military stronghold. Carved directly into the granite mountainside, its builders took advantage of the hot-springs found in the vast cave network within. The warmth provided by the springs offered respite – even salvation – from the harsh elements outside its walls.
