Luna Light Stitcher
It’s time to introduce you to our protagonist, Luna. Here’s a bit of her story, character traits, and a few sample animations of various states like idle, walking, crouching, running, etc.
Luna, a young warrior of pure starlight, is called to fulfill the long-forgotten role of Light Stitcher.
Nothing is the way she remembers it.
Through a battleground of space and time, she must solve the mysteries of six Lux Beacons and cultivate a balance between peace and combat, meditation and action, destruction and restoration, chaos and creation.
Combining dance, magic, breathwork, and combat, Luna wields beams of light, conjures weapons, and soars through the skies of this darkened world.
Symbolism:
“The lesser light to rule the night…”
Luna obviously gets her name from the moon.
She might be a personification of the idea that – after dark – light from the sun can still make its way to us, even in its absence.
Luna, then, might be seen figuratively as a conduit. A reflector. And simultaneously, an emitter.
I like the idea that ALL light has a source, and all forms of light share the same “family tree.” Stars (themselves being suns) emit their own light … but, collectively, we call it “starlight.”
And aren’t we glad that, when the sun goes down and our world becomes dark, some of that sunlight/starlight makes its way into the shadow of night?
As you’ll see in some of the behind-the-scenes videos, it was very important to me for Luna to embody feminine strength and grace. The wonder and energy of early adulthood. Magic. Vulnerability. Courage.
One key aspect of Luna’s story is about recognizing and refining her intuition, a blend of instinct and intellect.
